Discovering the XXth century Milanese design

In the style capital

Starting from the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum and heading towards Villa Necchi Campiglio, you come across numerous 20th-century buildings, in styles ranging from Art Nouveau to Novecento Italiano. The itinerary also encompasses fascinating art galleries and design showrooms, including Nilufar, Fragile, Bisazza, De Vecchi, all of which are located in the vicinity.

On leaving the museum on Via Gesù, you enter Via Senato, where at No. 11, you come to the so-called Palazzo per residenza e uffici (Palazzo for residence and offices), with decorations by Lucio Fontana. The marvellous Villa Necchi Campiglio, where you can stop for a coffee in the lovely cafeteria, closes the itinerary.
