Located in the arcades of a major building designed by Piero Portaluppi (Palazzo Crespi), the gallery provides an effective snapshot of the magical world of Piero Fornasetti and his wonderful tightrope walk between surrealism and functionalism. Now that Piero has passed away, it is his son Barnaba who is bringing his work up to date, but his father’s touch remains perceptible in all of the intriguing undertones of the arrangement of the basement room.
