Gabriele De Vecchi, who passed away in 2011 and was the son of Piero (who himself had set up the business in 1935 to almost immediate acclaim), was an important Italian kinetic artist, and a founding member of Gruppo T with Giovanni Anceschi, Davide Boriani, Gianni Colombo, Grazia Varisco.
