One of the bolder, and more eccentric creations of the architect Giulio Ulisse Arata, this palazzo was built for the businessmen Nebo Berri and Innocente Meregalli between 1911 and 1913. The highly-modelled frontages of this corner building boast a veritable bestiary of fantastical forms (putti, anthropomorphic and zoomorphic figures and so on) that offer a prelude to the neo-medieval atmosphere of the vestibule, where the visitor can admire frescoes and mosaics by Piero Adamo Rimoldi, wrought-iron decorations by Alessandro Mazzucotelli and, on the rear wall, sculptor Adolfo Wildt’s representation of Winged Victory.
