This iconic Italian design brand is able to encapsulate in just a few essential traits a project philosophy based on formal refinement, advanced technology and value-for-money – all of this is made possible through the exclusive use of plastics; to such an extent, indeed, that it can reasonably be posited that in the realm of Kartell, plastic is literally transformed into gold. There is a museum dedicated to the brand in Noviglio, just outside Milan. The Kartell showroom on the city’s Via Turati, near important architectural works by Gio Ponti (Montecatini buildings one and two) and Giovanni Muzio (Ca Brüta), exudes happiness and optimism – qualities that it radiates out onto the internal walkway.
