The history of the Galleria Milano dates back to 1928, and is intertwined with the Somarè family. Since 1965, the gallery has been under the control of Carla Pellegrini Rocca, a leading name on the Milanese art scene, of which she remains the beating heart. The elegant exhibition spaces have played host to a plethora of great artists and international movements, many at the time little-known in Italy, such as British Pop Art, Beuys, Baselitz and Ruscha. To this day, the gallery stands out for its refined perspective and its commitment to up-and-coming artists.
