Giorgio Marconi is a central figure in Milanese contemporary art, and in 2015 he celebrated his first 50 years in business. Having founded Studio Marconi in November 1965 and been at the helm until its closure in 1992, in 2004 he created the Foundation. But Studio Marconi was brought back to life in 2010 with the opening of a small space next to the Foundation, in which the same great artists as before continue to be represented (Dorazio, Uncini, Aricò, Balestrini, Baj, Rotella, Tadini, Isgrò). The Foundation is today responsible for promoting and popularising contemporary art through the staging of exhibitions of considerable cultural value.
